Dont book!! Terrible. Dirty, small, old, need cleaning and upgrade. Expensive compared to what you get. We had to cancel, as it was disgusting. We did not get any money back or any other kind of compensation. We also ordered a double bed, But got a small 1,20 bed for two adult friends. See pictures. Stay away!!

The hotel is in a great location- an easy 20 minute walk to the centre and far enough out that is it quiet at night. It was basic but very clean and all we needed for a few nights away when all we used it for was somewhere to sleep.hotel is in a great location- an easy 20 minute walk to the centre and far enough out that is it quiet at night. It was basic but very clean and all we needed for a few nights away when all we used it for was somewhere to sleep. The staff were lovely and David on reception was very welcoming and looked after us well. The hotel were very helpful in letting us move our dates due to COVID- I will be recommending then to everyone I know going to Amsterdam!

Location alone is worth the stay. The staff is pleasant, the rooms are fine, the bathrooms are clean (depending on your roommates), the lounge area is fine, and the hostel provides tons of information on the city and activities. All of this pales in comparison to this hostel's location. Walking to the Rijksmuseum is a joke - just a few minutes. And if you rent a bike, you can be at Van Gogh, Vondelpark, Rijksmuseum, Heineken Experience, the bars, the theatres, and the major canals faster than you can comprehend. It is situated so conveniently. Every time I have returned to Amsterdam I have tried to book here and I can NEVER beat the location. It is at the center of everything (except for Anne Frank's House, but this is generally distant from the other major sites and still only takes bout 20 minutes to bike tops). If you are a backpacker, easy traveler, visiting with friends, or seeing Amsterdam for the first time, I definitely recommend it.

Euphemia hotel is only 4 minutes by metro from the Central station, and within easy walking distance to many attractions. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and quiet, with enough space for our bags. We were in a triple room with 3 twin beds.

BED BUGS!!

Booked this hostel for 4 nights but left a night early because of the amount of bed bug bites we got. We ended up paying a lot of money for another hotel last minute and spending our final day in Amsterdam washing and drying everything to make sure we were free from the bed bugs. The sheets were white and we woke up with blood stains from the bites and poop stains from the bugs. There are multiple reviews about this problem from 2018-2013 but I wish there was a recent review!!!! Although this location and price is excellent DO NOT stay here!
